Support Your Body, Preventatives are Key!

When people first hear "supplements" they tend to think oh they're using steriods..NO, I am a strong believer in supplements, healthy ones as I will show below. They are just another word for vitamins, which vitamins tend to be more appealing and safe right? Your body is pretty good on its own, but these natural vitamins and supplements just give it a little extra. We might as well take advantage of the science and advances we have now a days, these things really are something great that people did not always have such easy access to like we do.  Now, it doesn't specifically mean you have to get the brand I show, I just show you the brands I use, so you don't have to do all the research on which is best. They're all mostly good, don't get me wrong, I just try to lean more towards the purest most natural forms with any kinds of products to ensure good health.

1. Multi-Vitamins

The most important of all! These multi vitamins is specific are your best bet. They have everything and more! They even have some BCAA's in them, (if you are not familiar with BCAA's, I explain them in detail below. VERY important.) Overall, you shouldn't have to guzzle down numerous amounts of pills when you can take it all in two capsules a day. Here's some of whats so great about them:

~23 vitamins and essential minerals

~100% DV for iron, zinc, and other minerals

~150mg of Calcium

~17 Specialty Ingredients Including Soy Isoflavones, Chasteberry Extract, Dong Quai and Uva Ursi

~and much more!

2. Cellucor Super HD

This is a great fat targeting & sculpting  supplement! (Favorite fat burner) I have tried a number of fat burners and I say this with all confidence that it works fantastically. Others sometimes are too intense causing my heart to speed up and I can't sleep at night, then there are others that are too weak, and I see absolutely No results. So this is my happy-medium! It's great for guys and girls, just increase or decrease the servings!

It also increase Focus and endurance, while also suppressing your appetite!

3. Vitamin C

Yes, Vitman C is crucial, it must be in your supp stack of success!!

Not only do you want to keep your immune system strong so a sickness won't get in the way of your workouts, but high doses of Vitamin C has also been proven to fight depression, and will keep your energy levels up!

Vitamin C is required for the growth and repair of tissues in all parts of your body. It is used to form collagen, a protein used to make skin, scar tissue, tendons, ligaments, and blood vessels. It is also essential for the healing of wounds, and for the repair and maintenance of people's cartilage, bones, and teeth. C also helps with blood pressure by strengthening the walls of the arteries. It can also prevent damage to cells caused by aging as well as help reduce stress.

4. Glucosamine Chondroitin

Some people hear this, and say oh, that's for the elderly...uh NO it is both beneficial for the youth and the elderly. Like I stated, preventative is key.

*The most recent studies even show that taking G&CS supplements helps to reduce joint space narrowing due to connective tissue wear-and-tear, and can even prevent osteoarthritis from developing in the first place. Remember G&CS builds connective tissues, such as skin, tendons, ligaments, bone, and cartilage, which forms the matrix that is involved in holding your entire body together.

5. Vitamin D

Vitamin D is very important in many ways.

~Plays A Role In Neuromuscular Functioning

~Vital For Immune Health

~Important For Bone Health

~Essential for Muscle Health

~Actually burns fat, so you don't have "fatty muscle," therefore, less fat infiltration in muscle.

6. Omega-3 / Fish Oil

Fish oil supplements hava a list of benefits  including enhancing heart, brain and joint health; as well as improving muscle recovery and to promote fat loss. It can help athletes in enhancing their performance by increasing energy, promoting muscle growth and improving recovery. Fish oil can reduce any inflammation or pain in the joints or muscles, it aids in muscle recovery after a workout. Great stuff (;

7. Isopure Zero Carb Protein

When I say this, I am not joking...THE BEST protein ever!! It is from Nature's Best and is only made out of the best!

It is 50g of pure Isolate protein, zero carb, zero sugar and everything, so when you are trying to stay lean, this protein is perfect! It is easy to digest and only the purest ingredients. I use up until a couple days of the show, awesome, huh?

**Gluten, Lactose, and Aspartame Free!!

12. Cellucor NO Extreme Pre-Workout (ladies friendly)

This is a great pre-workout without carbs, Creatine, and sugar! Delivers a huge amount of energy to increase endurance, definition, focus, and muscle pumps!!

8. Vega Sport Protein

For those of you who are sensitive to dairy products (like me), you can either deal with Whey, or you can try this brand of protein powder. It's not as tasty as other protein powders, but if you think like "well, it is good for me, so I will endure the taste" it's delicious  (;

It is a complete multi-source, alkaline-forming, plant-based protein blend, packed with 5,500mg of BCAAs and 5,000mg of glutamine per serving!

10. Casein

Compared to Whey protein, Casein is a slow digested protein which digests and releases amino acids long after proteins have dropped. It digests slowly for 7 hours having a strong anti-catabolic effect! That's why casein is great to have right before bed. You enter a fasting stage for 8 hours, the casein will feed your muscles all night! It is great for in the morning as well to be releasing amino's all throughout your day. Whey is faster digested, so it is better to have right after your workout.

~If you didn't already know, the majority of muscle repairing and rebuilding takes place during sleep. For optimal muscle recovery, the body needs a constant supply of nutrients, and most importantly, protein.

*CytoSport Casein is my favorite because it is lactose free, gluten free, and low in carbs and sugar! Only 1 gram of carbs!!

9. BCAA

Known as the three Branched Chain Amino Acids. Highly recommend!!! These are the building blocks of of proteins, which proteins are the building blocks of your muscles. They make up 35% of your muscle mass and must be present for molecular growth and development to take place. 8 are essential (can't be manufactured by the body) the rest are not essential (can be manufactured by the body, WITH proper nutrition). Besides building cells and repairing tissue, they form antibodies, they are part of the enzyme & hormonal system, therefore, they build RNA and DNA and they carry oxygen throughout the body. BCAAs are among the most beneficial and effective supplements in any sport.

**During intense weight training the body is normally in a highly catabolic condition. At this time glycogen stores are being rapidly depleted and the liver in turn must synthesize glucose by a conversion of L-Alanine. Alanine makes up over half of the amino acid content released from muscles during exercise.

The release of BCAA's is generally recognized as the signal to the body to stop protein syntheses in the muscles, especially during times of stress. Providing the Branch Chain Amino Acids, especially during those times of stress may profoundly affect this signal and allow protein synthesis to continue onward.

14. Collagen

This Nutrawise tablet combines collagen type 1 & 3 to support healthy hair, skin, nails, tendons and ligaments, and collagen type 2 to provide complete joint and bone support, for all the benefits of collagen in one bottle. Highly recommend!!!

15. Resveratrol

Resveratrol is the antioxidant found in red wine. It has a wide range of benefits such as it supports the immune system, promotes heart health, proven to reduce cell oxidation  antioxidant protection for healthy circulation, protection from environmental stresses and anti-aging benefits. Treat your heart with care, it is the main muscle; if you don't have it in tip top shape like the rest you work so hard on, you won't have the rest anymore!

13. Adrenherlyn / Pre-Workout for Women

Girls should be a little more cautious just because our bodies are definitely different than a guys body and reacts to certain ingredients in different ways, and sometimes not good, causing bloating and other bad side effects. This one I just recently found, it is fairly new on the market and I love it! Does not cause bloating nor does it retain water.

So, I know some people might be hesitant against pre workout powders... they think it is cheating or they refuse any sort of help (stubborn egos if you ask me). Let me just say that intense work outs to mediocre workouts, day in and day out, gets hard after a while to keep up. Some days you might not be as pumped up as others, you might be tired or fatigued; this definitely kills those plateaus you will face.

11. C4 / Other Pre-Workout

This is one of the number one pre-workouts on the market at the moment!

This one, C4, really shouldn't be used for girls!

* This specific one delivers a huge amount of energy without the jittery feeling, but enough to feel it's there.

It has Creatine in it, so that is why I say it isn't for the ladies, NO Extreme is better for girls.

16. L-Carnitine

This is a great and natural, fat burner! For those last couple oz of fat that are the hardest to get rid of, this is just what you need!! This is considered one of the safest fat burners because it is actually made in the body from the amino's, Lysine and Methionine.

17. CLA

This is a great and natural, fat burner as well as L-Carnitine! CLA Extreme combines the benefits that active people are seeking with the effectiveness of Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA).
NOW CLA Extreme contains L-Carnitine, Guarana and Green Tea to increase effects and provide energy.

18. Glutamine

**Helps To Build, Repair, And Protect Lean Muscle Tissue!
Glutamine is the most abundant amino acid in the body, comprising more than 60% of the free amino acid pool in skeletal muscle and greater than 20% of total circulating amino acids.
